The International DJ Expo is "The World's Largest Gathering of Professional DJs" and will be held August 10th through the 13th, 2009 at the Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Thousands of DJs attend this convention and come to see the seminars, massive exhibit hall, and attend the night-time parties.

DJ Event Planner is proud to be a part of the show for the second consecutive year. We will have a booth in the quiet section of the exhibit hall. To find our booth, go in to the exhibit hall and turn left. Keep going until you see our booth at the end of the aisle. Our booth number is Q20.

Troy Ackerman, the developer of the software will be in on hand, ready to answer your sales questions. Joining him at the booth will be two knowledgeable users, Eric Wenning and Dawson Deyo. Eric is from Pittsburgh, PA where he runs a successful company that provides Disc Jockeys, Photography, Rentals, and Installs. He is also an instructor the nationally-accredited FAME DJ School. Dawson Deyo is a long-time user of DJEP and helps manage a busy multi-op DJ company in East Hanover, NJ. Dawson helped with sales at last year's Expo and the Mobile Beat convention in Las Vegas.

If you are attending the DJ Expo this year, please stop by our booth and say hi!

DJ Event Planner has now officially released Version 4.3 of the web's premiere special event management software.

Significant upgrades were make to the Venue, Employee, and Equipment sections, inlcuding the addition of many new information fields. There are also several new user-interface improvements that will make the application behave more like a desktop application.

To help keep your PDA/Desktop calendar synchronized with your DJEP account, there is a new iCalendar feature.

Leading the list of new functionality for multi-op companies is the addition of employee activity tracking reports. You can now see exactly what your employees have been doing on the DJEP system. Other employee enhancements include an employee confirmation system and the ability to control how far in advance employees can see events assigned to them.

DJ Event Planner has now officially released Version 4.2 of the web's premiere special event management software.

Significant upgrades were made to the Venue, Employee, and Equipment sections, inlcuding the addition of many new information fields. There are also several new user-interface improvements that will make the application behave more like a desktop application.

Leading the list of new functionality for multi-op companies is the addition of employee activity tracking reports. You can now see exactly what your employees have been doing on the DJEP system.
      Upgrades
* Event List page: ability to display either client logon, assigned employees or salesperson
* Add/Edit Event Form: when you add a new venue using this form you can now enter the address of the venue in addition to the city, state, and room
* New Filter/Sort for Inbox messages
* Event Email Templates: AutoFill feature allows the send to field to be autofilled with any of the following email addresses related to the event: Client, Assigned Employee, Vendors, Venues
* Enhanced the look and functionality of the Event Music Manager page. In the process a few links were removed and the workflow was changed slightly.
* Email Attachments: can upload zip formatted files
* Check Availability: Can now pass submitted form variables to a Custom URL
* Increased Song Location field from 50 to 250 characters
* Duplicate Events: can now select the status of the duplicated events
* Ability to change client usernames
* Setting to make client email address the client username on the creation of a client (as long as the email address is not in use by anyone else in the system)
* Meeting Reminder Emails are now tracked via the contact manager
* Ability to edit planning form backend field names (useful for Excel exporting)

New Features
* Employee Activity Report: Tracks Logons, Creation of Planner Items, and the Addition of Events
* Unbranded Premium Membership is now available
* Can now download an Excel file containing Requests and Special Songs
* Employee Wage Tracking: Can now mark employee wages as paid from the event page or employee page
* Second Tax Field: designed primarily for Canadian Provincial Sales Tax, this is a tax that is calculated based on the total fee plus the first tax value
* Download event planning documents in Excel format

Changes
* Removed the usage of the term "Generated By" and replaced it with the more applicable "Salesperson"
* When logging on to DJEP, anyone using the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser will be warned if their popup blocker is not disabled for the site. This is because of the extremely poor way in which the default popup blocker settings work in IE.

* Reworked Venue Information page layout
* On the Venue information page, if entered, Email address and Website address are now links instead of static text
