Support Policies

Support Forum
The primary means of support for DJ Event Planner is the support forum. The support forum has a separate logon system from DJEP. You will need to register for the forum to read or post on it. Each time someone posts on the forum, we are notified of the posts. The support forum covers a variety of topics:

  • How Do I?
  • Wishlist
  • Bugs
  • User To User Section

To find the support forum, go here: Log On To DJEP -> Support -> Forum.

Email Support
General support is not handled by email. Because of the large amount of email that we receive, tracking support issues via email is an inefficient and an ineffective way for us to handle support. By posting on the forum we are able to quickly see which issues are unresolved and need attention. Email messages can too easily get "lost in the shuffle".

Requests For Features
The software has hundreds of features and a very wide breadth of functionality. Because of this, there are many opportunities for additional functionality. DJEP users each run their businesses in a different way, and this has resulted in a wishlist count of 650 ideas. Over the years we have already completed 266 these ideas.

Please note that all wishlist items are handled via the wishlist forum. They will not be accepted any other way. We do not comment on wishlist items or speculate on release dates. If we have a question about your wishlist item, we will post a response on the forum.

Telephone Support
Telephone support is only available to users that have paid for a service contract. For those that do have a service contract, remember that telephone support is:

  • only for the company owner, not employees
  • for account configuration
  • not to be used in place of the support forum
  • not to be used for feature requests

Wedding Traditions

White Bridal Dresses
Up until Queen Victoria, most brides simply wore their best gown. The Queen adandoned the usual royal tradition of wearing a silver gown, instead choosing to wear white. The popularity of the color can alto be attributed to the symbolization of purity and virginity. White was though to ward off evil spirits.

Throwing Rice
Showering the bride and groom with rice is an ancient tradition. Rice is considered a "life giving" seed. It is thought that by throwing rice on the couple they will be bestowed with fertility and have many children. Most churches now forbid it on their property but there are some safe alternatives to throwing rice .

Ring Finger
Putting the wedding ring on the third finger of the left hand has two possible origins. The ancient Egyptians believed the "vein of love" ran from the ring finger to the heart. The ring was placed there to denote eternal love.

Alternatively, during a 17th century wedding ceremony the groom would slide the wedding ring part way up the bride's thumb, index finger and middle finger as the priest said "In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit". As the ring finger was the first free finger, the ring was placed there.
